There are some things you can’t get out of your home, but you can certainly make a difference when it comes to keeping your nails in tip-top shape.

Whether it’s with nail art, nail clippers or an adhesive nail strip, there are plenty of tips and tricks to keep your nails looking their best.

Here are 10 things to know before you put on your best, or even make an appointment for a manicure: 1.

Get rid of the nail polish The first thing you want to do is get rid of your nail polish, which can cause dryness or other issues.

Here’s how: Clean the nail and apply a thin layer of nail polish to a clean towel or brush.

Then wipe it off with a clean, damp towel.

Apply another thin layer to a cotton pad and rub gently on the area.

Rub for about 30 seconds, then wipe off the rest.

2.

Remove the adhesive If you have the time and patience, you can remove the nail strip completely.

The adhesive should be removed by rubbing it gently on a clean cloth, then rinsing it off.

Repeat with the rest of the strip.

3.

Remove any extra adhesive Remove any excess adhesive on the nail, or just get rid off any that are clinging to the skin.

4.

Remove clippings The most common clippers are hair clippes that stick to the nail or can be found on the surface.

The solution is to apply a small amount of nail oil to the clipps.

Apply a thin, dry layer of the same nail polish and rub lightly.

The nail polish should be completely removed by wiping off with an old toothbrush or cotton pad.

If you’re using an adhesive strip, rinse the strip off with water and then dry it. 5.

Rinse your hands If you want a clean look, dab a small dab of nail polishes on your hands before putting on your nails.

6.

Keep your nails on the nails, not on the cuticles This is a good idea if you have a cuticle problem.

It’s easier to keep the nail on the skin than it is on the glue.

If the cuticle is clogged, the nail will stick to your skin and cause dry, itchy skin irritation.

7.

Never get your hands dirty Use nail clipper or nail polish remover to remove clipping or any other clumping on your cuticles.

8.

Wear a mask If you need a little extra protection, you might want to wear a mask to keep out the sun.

9.

Don’t use a nail polish strip on the outside of your nails If you don’t like the look of the cuticular clippiness on your nail, you could try using a strip of nail glue on the edges of the cutsicle.

10.

Remove excess adhesive and polish with a nail strip Removing clippies is always easier than it looks.

Just use a thin piece of nail strip and rub it gently onto the cutie marks.

Repeat this process several times to remove excess adhesive.
