Posted June 19, 2018 06:30:53 A nail art enthusiast with a keen eye for beauty and an affection for gems is now looking for a diamond to match the color of a nail.
Sarah Peeke is an artist from Edmonton, Alberta.
Her passion for nails and gems is so strong that she’s now turned to using natural stone to decorate her nails.
She says she loves finding a gem with a striking gem-like finish.
“There’s always something about a diamond or a gemstone that’s just a sparkly, shimmery thing that makes you go ‘Oh, this would be beautiful if it were gold,'” said Peek, who is currently working on her second diamond and hopes to get a diamond-sized one.
“You know it would be a really cool gift, too.”
Sarah Peekel works on a gem nail.
She loves finding gems with a dazzling gem-ish finish.
(CBC News)Peeke says she doesn’t have a specific gift for the diamond-scented nail art, but she knows there’s something magical about finding a beautiful gem that can’t be found anywhere else.
“I think it’s really cool to go find that special gem and then just be able to use that to make something that’s really beautiful and unique,” said Pooke.
Peekel is currently looking for an artist to create her own nail art.
She is also interested in making a custom gift for someone.
“It’s a little bit of a dream come true for me because I’m not just looking for nail art,” she said.
“It’s something I’d love to do for someone that has a diamond in their life.”
Peek says she will eventually make a custom nail art that will include diamonds and gemstones, but the inspiration for her creation is her love for gemstone jewelry.
“The beauty of a gem is the way it looks in the eye, the color it has, how it’s laid out,” said Sarah Pookel.
“The jewel that it’s in is just a beautiful piece of jewelry.”
